Blood Drives

BLOOD DONORS

It is amazing how many wonderful people exist in this world. I am talking about my wonderful blood donors, some of which I have met, others of whom I still wait to someday meet. When I stop and think, they give me life every 2 weeks and I will forever be grateful to them. When I celebrate my birthdays, I believe I will be wishing them a happy birthday as well for that is what they give me each and every time they donate. Some of my donors have been family, others have been friends I have met at UCLA, some have been strangers, and eight of my continuous donors are Los Angeles City Firefighters. All of my donors are TRUE HEROES. God bless you all!

BLOOD DRIVES

My parents, with the help of friends, have put together blood drives in my honor but also to help the general public. One of our biggest drives was for the celebration of my 2nd birthday. It took place at the Pico House on Olvera Street . We had such a great turn out! I had asked my guests, that in lieu of birthday presents, I wanted them to give the best gift in the world…THE GIFT OF LIFE. So, we had many people who went to donate blood, some of whom were continuous donors and others who were first-time donors. We have had blood drives at the Roy Ball Center in Boyle Heights. This blood drive has taken place 3 times and has aired in the morning news segment of Univision.  Again, we have had great response.
