Camp Sunshine is a camp in the state of Maine that holds weekly sessions for different illnesses and Diamond Blackfan Anemia week is one of them. We attended the second year I was diagnosed. My mommy says, “If I had to explain Heaven on Earth, it would be Camp Sunshine ”. This was the first time we had met 35 other families with the same illness. It was a week of fun and laughter, sadness and tears, but in the end of it all, we went home knowing one thing…we are not the only family with this rare disease. Thanks Camp Sunshine !
